Chapter 8

Prisoner number 98K514 Casey Hogan aka Tyrone aka Marilyn Filth. Convicted May 8, 2004
for being present with long hair and thus a criminal accessory to numerous longboat
violations.  Sentence: 247 years.  Up for parole in 2.

Marilyn ran into a someone he knew from prior time spent in prison.  As luck would have it, it
was everyone’s favorite cellmate, Varg.  Varg told Marilyn about the time the Skullsplitter was
in Oz with him, and how he came back to visit only to frame him for attempted murder so he
wouldn’t get parole.  Varg attempted nothing.  He simply plotted Andrew’s death and tried
making arrangements with correctional officers to kill him in an out of the way place.  He
never even got the knife anywhere near Andrew.  So he and Marilyn devised a plan where
Marilyn would get close to Andrew if he ever came back to Oz (which he would... musicians,
and for this context it includes drummers, can’t stay out of jail for long) and gain his trust,
and then he would lure him to Varg to have his revenge.

The Eye of Creidhne watches over Norway from above the volcanic wasteland of Borgir in
neighboring Iceland.  Watching Clad in Darkness scramble to recover from the disasters he
tried to inflict upon them.  His minions in Eve Did Sam Nice slaved below his ever-watchful
gaze creating an army for the sole purpose of ridding the world of Clad in Darkness.  Nu
metal and emo kids were pumped out of the flesh factory, and quickly given arms.  Soon
Creidhne’s army would march across Norway.

The troll was doing what the troll usually does on those long lonely Norwegian nights.  He
was wasting his life on the interweb talking to random drunks and visiting message boards of
the most questionable subject matter.  At least that’s what he says.  The Skullsplitter has
specific theories, none of which are appropriate for here.  Sleep had no relevance, and the troll’
s bed was getting tired of this.  His bed gets hungry, and absorbs nutrients from the troll’s
flesh.  The troll was spending an exceptionally long period of time on the computer so his bed
got angry and decided to feed itself.  As the troll typed, the bed flicked its long sticky tongue
at him and sucked him into its blankety clutches.  The bed sunk its fangs into the troll’s flesh
as it released its caustic digestive fluids.  The troll won’t be doing much of anything for the
next 12 to 16 hours.

The three members of Clad in Darkness not addressed in this chapter where hanging out by
the river.  They were discussing the unpleasant task of returning to Oz and getting Marilyn out
of jail.  Andrew flat out refused, since he spent a great deal of time there himself.  Coy didn’t
want to do it either, since like the troll he enjoys spending most of the daylight hours
unconscious in his bed.  John, feeling bad about booking the final Los Cazos show and feeling
guilty that it was the Bacon Goddess’s intervention that led to Creidhne’s destruction of Los
Cazos, spoke up.  He said the burden of rescuing the one vocalist was his to bear, and he will
venture to the land of Oz to free Marilyn from his imprisonment.  But no other member
chimed in “you have my axe.”  Lazy bastards.  It truly was John’s burden to bear alone.  So
the lone frost giant ventured down that yellow brick road once again to see the not so
wonderful Warden of Oz.

The Warden of Oz remembered John and gave him access to Marilyn.  The Warden of Oz is
usually pretty strict about who gets out of Oz, but John was one of the few who knew his
secret.  Self-preservation took precedence, and three members of Clad in Darkness could
pretty much get anyone out they felt like.  Varg, however, would pose a greater challenge.  He
demanded that if he were to let Marilyn go, Marilyn would have to return to carry out his
plan.  And something would need to happen to put the Skullsplitter back in Oz.  John agreed to
this, though he had no idea how he would get Andrew back in jail.

In the frost giant’s absence, Coy had ample opportunity to search the kitchen for the precious
5-pound bag of bacon that “mysteriously” appeared from Marilyn’s work.  He searched and
searched for his precious fatty pork food product, but it was nowhere to be found.  It seems
John took the bag with him on his quest to Oz.  This angered Coy, and a dark presence was
felt in his soul.

In his service of Creidhne, the Rooster Man was pleased with the army he was amassing.
Soon they would march to the Oak Park portion of Norway and destroy Creidhne’s nemesis.
He was angered at how all of Creidhne’s attempts at destroying Clad in Darkness have failed.
He knew Creidhne would’ve have gotten away with it to if it weren’t for that meddling Hodur
character.  So to succeed in destroying the one band, he would amass an army so large not
even divine intervention could save Clad in Darkness.
